Cancellation /Refund Policy
At AskDNotary, we value your time and appreciate your business. To ensure fair scheduling and quality service for all clients, the following policy applies to all appointments.
Appointment Cancellations
Appointments may be canceled or rescheduled at no charge if notice is provided at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment time.
Same-day cancellations made less than 2 hours before the appointment may be subject to a cancellation fee of $25.00.
Emergency situations will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
No-Show Policy
A client is considered a "No-Show" when:
The client fails to appear at the scheduled appointment location.
The client is unavailable by phone at the scheduled appointment time.
The client is more than 15 minutes late without communication.
No-show appointments are subject to a fee of $25.00 or forfeiture of any booking deposit paid.
Travel Fee Policy
For mobile notary appointments:
Travel fees are earned once the notary has departed for the appointment.
If a signing is canceled after the notary has arrived, the travel fee remains non-refundable.
Additional travel charges may apply for locations outside the standard service area.
Refund Policy
Notarial fees are governed by Texas law and are generally non-refundable once the notarization has been completed.
Refunds will not be issued when:
The client changes their mind after services are rendered.
The client fails to provide proper identification.
Documents are incomplete or not ready for notarization.
Required signers are not present.
The signing cannot proceed due to client error or missing information.
Refunds may be considered if:
AskDNotary cancels the appointment and cannot provide a reasonable alternative.
A billing error has occurred.
Approved refunds will be processed within 5–7 business days.
Identification Requirements
All signers must present valid, government-issued photo identification at the time of service. Failure to provide proper identification may result in the appointment being canceled and applicable travel fees being charged.

CLIENT SERVICE AGREEMENT
This Agreement is entered into between AskDNotary ("Notary Service Provider") and the undersigned client ("Client").
1. SERVICES
AskDNotary agrees to provide mobile notary and/or signing services as requested by the Client. Services may include notarizations, witnessing signatures where permitted, loan signing support, hospital notarizations, nursing home notarizations, real estate document notarizations, and general notary work.
2. CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES
The Client agrees to:
Present valid, government-issued photo identification.
Ensure all documents are complete and ready for notarization.
Be present at the scheduled appointment time.
Not sign documents until instructed by the Notary.
Ensure all required signers are present.
3. FEES
Client agrees to pay all applicable fees, including:
State-authorized notarial fees.
Mobile travel fees.
After-hours, emergency, hospital, nursing home, or special service fees, if applicable.
Payment is due at the time services are rendered unless otherwise agreed in writing.
4. CANCELLATION & NO-SHOWS
Appointments canceled less than two (2) hours before the scheduled time may incur a cancellation fee.
If the Notary has already traveled to the appointment location, travel fees are non-refundable.
No-show appointments may be charged a fee of $25.00.
5. NO GUARANTEE OF DOCUMENT CONTENT
AskDNotary is not an attorney and cannot provide legal advice, prepare legal documents, or explain legal consequences of documents.
The Client is solely responsible for the accuracy, legality, and completeness of all documents presented for notarization.
6. REFUND POLICY
Fees for completed notarizations are non-refundable. Travel fees are non-refundable once travel has begun.
7. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
AskDNotary shall not be liable for delays, errors, losses, or damages resulting from inaccurate information provided by the Client, incomplete documents, or circumstances beyond reasonable control.
8. ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATION
Client agrees that scheduling, confirmations, invoices, and communications may be conducted by phone, text message, email, or electronic booking platforms.
9. GOVERNING LAW
This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Texas.
