Does a Notary have to be Licensed?
Yes a notary must have a commissioned license from the Secretary of the State in which he/she is a notary.
Is a Notary bonded and insured?
Yes the state requires each Notary have a bond and Omission and E/O Insurance.
Can all notaries perform RON?
RON is remote on line notarization. All notaries can perform a RON if they are commissioned by the state they practice. Not all 50 states accept or allow RON notarizations.
Can A notary use expired Identification for a notary.
An order for a notarized document to be legal the person signing Must have a valid government ID. ie Drivers License, Identification card issued by the state and or a passport. All Identification must have a photo and a signature.
